James Hocking Wine x Lucky Lychee

An exciting new addition to our calendar of events is a wine pairing session with Malaysian cuisine, using high-welfare, local produce and quality Southeast Asian spices to make vibrant dishes from scratch, using family recipes and traditional cooking techniques. 

The Lucky Lychee needs no introduction from me; it’s a well-known Winchester haunt for the food lover and the opportunity to add some of our wines to the mix couldn’t be ignored. This is an opportunity to look closely at wines with more specific taste sensations – higher acidy and lower tannin. Riesling (of course) will feature, but Beaujolais, Dolcetto, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir will all be covered. For dessert, I suspect something sensational will be opened too...

The tasting will include:

*Lots of wine (expect twelve tasting samples) designed to accompany the menu

*A selection of plates from the Lucky Lychee taken from the latest (seasonal) menu

*Our usual tasting sheets and all pours in ISO tasting glassware

This event will sell pretty quicky I suspect, so a swift response is strongly recommended. Places are strictly limited.
